Detailed Description
This is a completely automatic laboratory test bench for Molten Carbonate Fuel Cells. The bench is able to perform tests of cell characterization at different pressures: from atmospheric to 4 barg, controlling the differential pressure trough the cell to be under 2 mbar. The operating temperature is 650°C. The cell is placed inside a certified pressure vessel capable to withstand the temperatures and pressures required for the test. The system is equipped with a mechanical device for the vessel top opening to allow the cell replacement. The bench is able to perform fully automatic long lasting tests with the complete data log saving. A specific user friendly software manage all bench activity:
- pressure and temperature control, inlet gas mixture compositions and flow rate,
- differential pressure trough the cell and anodic and cathodic humidification control. The operator can monitor and also control the bench performances via intranet or password secure internet. The inlet control system in designed to feed several gas mixtures in order to simulate the different working condition or to fast cell aging or poisoning.
