Detailed Description
C-Tech Innovation Ltd is a technology development and consultancy company based in the north-west of England. We offer contract R&D and consultancy (including technical due diligence) as well as actively participating in and coordinating Collaborative projects such as those of FP7. We offer expertise in both Fuel cell and Hydrogen Storage technologies. Our FC experience includes designing and constructing a novel stack arrangement for a FC manufacturer, testing high temperature PEMFC membranes, characterising catalysts, as well as developing novel catalyst preparation routes (eg nanoparticles grown by bacteria). We have some experience with SOFC and are interested in exploring further opportunities. C-Tech is also actively researching solid state materials. In particular we are developing an innovative physical process which enhances the hydrogen storage behaviour on metals and alloys. This process affects the materials in a way that is different but complimentary to research elsewhere involving catalysts. The process is proven to accelerate the absorption/desorption kinetics of hydrogen in metals and alloys, and also its solid state diffusion within the material. The Fuel Cell and Hydrogen team at C-Tech includes Phd electrochemists and experienced chemical, mechanical and design engineers. We have fully equiped laboratories (electrochemical and nanoparticle labs) as well as our own electrical and mechanical workshops onsite.
Areas of Application
C-Tech is looking for Venture Capital funding for its Hydrogen Storage technology. This research is ongoing and producing promising results, and we would like to speak to investers who could assist us in developing this technology further. C-Tech is also looking for contract research in the areas of Fuel Cell (PEMFC, DMFC, SOFC) and Hydrogen Storage. We are also active in other Energy Technology areas such as BioEnergy, Batteries and Photovoltaics and would welcome discussions on these topics. C-Tech is always interested in finding active partners for future grant-funded Collaborative projects (eg FP7, JTI).
